Amaran Jambulingam, or Jay for short, is the fourth child of a headmaster of a government school in Chennai. Dr. John Beldock is the President and CEO of EcoBroker International (www.ecobroker.com) and the Ex. Director of the Association of Energy and Environmental Real Estate Professionals (www.aeerep.org). EcoBroker develops and deploys EcoBroker’s energy and environmental curriculum for the real estate industry, including a complete suite of courses and the EcoBroker designation for licensed real estate professionals in the United States and internationally. EcoBroker has over 1,500 members located in 42 states, 4 Canadian provinces and the Caribbean. Dr. John Beldock has built public private sector partnerships over the last 25 years and has taught courses in energy engineering, energy and environmental technologies, statistics, and pollution prevention at the University of California, Davis, George Mason University, and the University of Maryland at College Park. Dr. Beldock teaches Continuing Education courses to licensed real estate professionals and other professionals across the U.S. via classroom and online delivery methods. He is the former Director of the U.S. Department of Energy's Environmental Analysis Program in the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. With an undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in 1983, Dr. Beldock earned his Master of Science and Doctorate from the University of California and its Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in 1985 and 1987, respectively. Dr. Riley was one of the founding members of the
national Internet2 initiative, served on the Network Planning and Policy
Advisory Council (NPPAC); founded the Mid-Atlantic Crossroads (MAX) regional
networking consortium, one of the largest Internet2 regional gigapops, hosting
the NGIX-DC (Next Generation Internet Exchange) for the federal agency NGI R&D
networks. Dr. Riley has held the position of CIO at
the University of Maryland, and also at the University of Minnesota, where he
also was a Professor of Mechanical Engineering from 1976 to 1998.

Curtis Lowery, M.D.
Curtis Lowery, M.D., is known as a champion of telemedicine and
distance education initiatives that make high-risk pregnancies safer all across
the state. He sees the potential for using technology to “to reach beyond UAMS’
walls to collaborate, instruct and consult providers and patients throughout
Arkansas.”
The professor of obstetrics and gynecology and director of the
Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division founded UAMS’ award-winning ANGELS (Antenatal
and Neonatal Guidelines, Education and Learning System). Lowery will become
chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology July 1. He also is
co-founder of the Center for Distance Health, an outgrowth of ANGELS and UAMS
Regional Programs that helps develop new telemedicine initiatives.

The newly appointed Chairperson for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences’ Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Curtis Lowery is viewed as a champion of antenatal and neonatal telemedicine benefiting the patient and physician alike. Dr. Lowery has served as the Director of Obstetrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences since 1992. In that time, he facilitated the process in which Arkansas insurance handles telemedicine, increased Medicaid reimbursements and promoted understanding for telemedicine, and brought telehealth access to over 60 hospitals and community clinics in rural Arkansas providing medical consultations combined with provider and patient education. Dr. Lowery has established a Medicaid-funded, cost-effective programmatic solution to assist Arkansas’ high-risk pregnancies, ANGELS.

C.N. (Madhu) Madhusudan is an accomplished executive with over 24 years experience in setting up and managing software, training and knowledge based businesses. His expertise areas include launching new businesses, turnaround management, outsourcing, strategic investments, and acquisitions.
As one of the early members of the team that built NIIT in India, he held key roles including setting up NIIT’s Chennai (Madras) and Bangalore operations, turning around NIIT’s Mumbai (Bombay) operations and establishing NIIT’s HR, IS and Corporate Planning functions.
In 1991, he relocated to the United States to build NIIT’s first overseas presence for its software, training and knowledge process outsourcing businesses. He established NIIT’s US subsidiary in 1994 and managed its growth as President and Chief Operating Officer until 1999. Dr. Stough has an extensive publication record, including several hundred scholarly and professional publications, 16 books and nearly 100 journal articles. Dr. Stough also has a wide range of graduate and undergraduate teaching experience, with over 30 years logged in eight separate institutions (including Johns Hopkins University, University of South Carolina, Indiana University, Lieden and Erasmus Universities in the Netherlands, George Mason University). He has extensive experience interfacing the University with the local, state, regional, national communities and international groups. He chairs a number of task forces, and advises a wide range of external programs and university policy boards. Dr. Stough serves as president of the Regional Science Association International (a 4,000 member scholarly association) and the Technopolicy Network (a regional economic membership association).
Dr. Stough is the principal investigator on numerous grants and contracts totaling more than $50,000,000 from the U.S. Department of Transportation, the Research and Special Projects Administration (USDOT), the Federal Highway Administration, the Federal Transit Administration, the National Technology Information Administration, NASA, U.S. Department of Justice, Virginia’s Center for Innovative Technology, the National Science Foundation, and numerous state and local agencies. While the local National Capital Region is an empirical laboratory for much of his research, he has extensive research and consulting experience nationally and internationally. He has participated in technology policy seminars and university programs and published widely in Asia, Europe and North America. Further, he has established a diversity of research, student and faculty research exchange programs with universities and research laboratories in Asia, Europe and Australia. Finally, he founded and directed various degree programs (from the undergraduate to the Ph.D. level) and several research centers. All of these programs and centers are still operating and have continued to grow. He edits two journals and his most recent book with Robert Stimson and Brian Roberts is Regional Economic Development, 2nd Edition, Springer-Verlag, Heidelberg, Germany and New York City, 2006.
Banashri Bose Harrison
Banashri Bose Harrison joined the Indian diplomatic service in 1981.
She did her graduate degree in Economics from Delhi University and obtained a postgraduate degree in the same subject from the Delhi School of Economics. She taught public finance and microeconomics to graduate and postgraduate students for four years before moving to diplomacy.
As a career diplomat, she has dealt with a wide range of responsibilities. She has served in France – dealing with India’s interaction with UNESCO; in Hungary – as Commercial Counsellor and in Reunion Island – as Consul General of India. In New Delhi, she has worked in the personnel & administration wing and dealt with neighbouring countries, including the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC).
Before taking over as head of the Commercial Wing in the Embassy of India, Washington in January 2007, she was Deputy High Commissioner of India to South Africa.
She has participated in numerous conferences representing the Government of India – at UNESCO and in SAARC , NAM (Non-Aligned Movement and IBSA (India-Brazil-South Africa Dialogue Forum) meetings.
Believing deeply that learning should be a life-long process, she has participated in two study programmes. The first was the Oxford University Foreign Service Programme, in which she obtained a certificate with honours in international economics, international politics and international law. The second course was the National Security Strategy course conducted by the National Defence College of India.
She speaks French and has a working knowledge of Hungarian.
Her interests include reading and traveling.
She is married to a chartered accountant – Gareth and has one son (9 years).

David Koch is a founding partner of Plave Koch PLC, a law firm focused on franchising and related areas. His practice representing franchisors covers a wide range of domestic and international franchising activity, including creating and revamping franchise programs, regulatory compliance, transactions, disputes, antitrust analysis, vendor arrangements, and privacy, website and ecommerce issues.
David has spoken at numerous franchise legal and business conferences and seminars, including programs in India, Poland, Romania, England and Canada. He has authored or co-authored more than 30 published articles and conference papers. David currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of The Franchise Lawyer, the newsletter of the ABA Forum on Franchising. David is also a member of the International Bar Association’s International Franchising Committee. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America, the Franchise Times “Legal Eagles,” and International Who’s Who of Franchise Lawyers.
David entered private practice in 1989 after serving as attorney-advisor to Chairman Daniel Oliver of the Federal Trade Commission. After 18 years of large-firm experience, he joined with Lee Plave and John Tifford to form Plave Koch PLC.
David graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School and received his undergraduate degree in economics with high honors from the University of Iowa.
