KV Kumar is appointed to the National Advisory Council Of the U.S. Small Business Administration

KV Kumar, National Chairman of U.S. Indian American Chamber has been appointed to the U.S. Small Business Administration’s National Advisory Council for a term of two years. KV is the first Indian American to hold this position.

The National Advisory Council (NAC) consists of Senior Business Leaders from around the Country that provide expert advice, sound ideas and diverse opinions on current small business issues and on the effectiveness of SBA programs. As such, the National Advisory Council is a continuing source of private sector advice to the President, the Congress, and the U.S. Small Business Administration.

As an appointed member of NAC, KV’s services would enable him to make an important contribution towards President Bush’s efforts to strengthen the economy by promoting the interests of small business.

KV Kumar is :
  • the Chairman of Business & Strategic Consultants, International, Inc. and the Nano Valley Group, Inc.
  • Chairman of Arizona State District Appeals Board of the U.S. Selective Service System
  • Honorary Advisor, Office of Public Liaison in the Ronald Reagan’s White House
  • Deputy Chief of Telecommunications, Office of the President-Elect, George H.W. Bush
  • Featured in “Notable Asian Americans” as one of 250 persons selected from 10 million Asian Americans in the U.S.A.
  • Recipient of numerous local, state, national and international awards
  • Founder of many organizations
  • Has served in many capacities in several organizations, including the State of Arizona and served the present and past Governors of the State of Arizona.
KV sits on many Boards and has had a long and distinguished career internationally. KV is well known for: Strategic Planning; Negotiations; Organizational and Management skills.

KV has volunteered for several organizations and causes in serving the community. The last several years, he has been an advocate for survivors of brain injury, himself being a survivor, on national and international brain injury associations. Having overcome several hardships, both personal and professional, he is an important voice for the hard working small businesses, Entrepreneurs and the needy.
