USIACC Chairman and CEO, Bharat Bhargava, holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School, and he is currently the Chairman and CEO of Bankworld Inc., an international consulting company headquartered in the Washington, DC Area.

Dubbed as a “thought leader” in the field of international development, Mr. Bhargava has successfully directed nearly a hundred engagements in over fifty countries during the last fifteen years. He has also personally advised national governments, central banks and financial institutions on economic development; banking, capital markets and private sector development; trade and investment expansion; infrastructure finance and poverty reduction in Asia, Eastern Europe, former Soviet Union, Middle East, Africa and the Americas – and has trained over a thousand central bankers and bankers in management, lending, marketing and project finance.

Mr. Bhargava was a senior executive at a one of the largest national banks in the US. He also held management roles at a Fortune-500 company.

Mr. Bhargava was the senior-most Indian-American appointee of President Bush (41) in his Administration. In 1977, he became the first Indian-American to be elected to a public office in US in over twenty years.

He was Chairman of the National Federation of Indian-American Associations, the nationwide umbrella organization of Indian-Americans, and was awarded Pride of India Gold Medal by Ambassador Abid Hussein on behalf of the NRI Institute.

As Vice President of Philadelphia Jaycees, he founded and oversaw programs for youth and for prisoners.

Mr. Bhargava has been widely published and has also been the keynote speaker at a number of conferences for business executives, bankers, government officials, in the US and abroad.

Mr. Bhargava has been biographed in Who’s Who in Finance & Industry, Who’s Who in the World, and the International Who’s Who of Professionals.

Before emigrating in 1962, Mr. Bhargava was the General Secretary of the Youth Wing of the Congress Party in Rajasthan. His father, late Prof. B. D. Bhargava was Dean at the University of Rajasthan. His mother, late Smt. Sharda Bhargava was a member and Vice Chairman of Rajya Sabha.

Mr. Bhargava and his wife, Yog Bhargava, have three children. They live in Great Falls, Virginia, suburb of Washington, DC.

Mr. Bhargava is fluent in Hindi and Urdu, and speaks basic French, Russian and Arabic.

KV Kumar is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Business and Strategic Consultants International, Inc. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, policy analyses & review, liaison & negotiations, crisis management and business development. Yog Bhargava is the President of Saha Enterprises, a metropolitan Washington, DC-based US-based export and import company.

Yog has enjoyed a long and successful career as a Chartered Financial Consultant, first with a major U.S. financial institution, then as the owner of her own financial services company. A former Systems Analyst with the Honeywell Corporation, she was among the first batch of female programmers hired by the company in 1968.

Yog has been the recipient of numerous national awards in the field of financial services, and has been the featured speaker at numerous professional and business group conferences.

Throughout her career and while raising a family, Yog has been actively involved in numerous civic areas.

She has served as the President of the Association of Indians in America, Philadelphia Chapter, and as President of the Asian American Council of Greater Philadelphia.

Yog received the Asian American of the Year Award from the Asian American Council of Greater Philadelphia, in 1978.

She served as a delegate to the International Women’s Year Convention held in Houston in 1977, where she served as the only Asian delegate from Pennsylvania, and only Indian American delegate, convention-wide.

Yog was the Co-Chair of the Second Congress of Women of the Americas, held in Washington, D.C. in 1994.

She has most recently served as the Vice-Chair, Indian American Forum for Political Education for Virginia.

Yog currently serves as a member of the Council on the Status of Women for Common-wealth of Virginia, appointed by Governor Mark Warner. The Council oversees the special needs of women in the Commonwealth, and provides recommendations to the Governor.

A graduated of Maharani’s College in Jaipur, Yog is currently a Master Practitioner of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Neurolinguistic Programming, and a Ph.D. candidate in Clinical Hypnotherapy.

Born and raised in Rewari, Haryana, she moved to North America in 1963. Yog and her husband have three grown children and three grandchildren, and live in Great Falls, Virginia. Yog is an avid vocalist.
