Vivek has over 25 years of experience in managing different verticals of Business and Government departments. He was a Finance Professor at the Boston University as well as the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He has taught Advanced Finance, Money & Banking, Invesgment Mangement, International Buinsess etc to the Amercian and Indian MBA students. He was also the Head of CRISIL Advisory Services as well as the Division Chief SEBI.

He was the Finance as well as the Information Technology, Bio Technology Secretary, Government of Karnataka, Bangalore. During his tenure in Government service he was instrumental in building world-class IT & Biotech institutes and events in Karnataka. He promoted public-private partnership in Governance. He has done extensive work in marketing Bangalore at the International level. During his tenure as IT secretary, every week Bangalore has seen one new 100% foreign equity firm setting their office. He is a charter member of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) as well as Director Bombay Stock Exchange.
